Rationing of medical care... Frustrating.

It's the Thursday before my 6 am flight on Sunday Morning. I've been frustrated today having my medications rationed to me. I went to pick up my Malaria prophylaxis and was informed I could only get half of my prescription enough for 30 days at a time. A policy of my insurance company. This normally is not a big deal. However in this case my prescription will run out while in Ecuador. NOT good considering I'm taking the medicine to keep from getting Malaria while there. I was informed that I would need to fax to the Insurance company my travel confirmation email from the airline proving I would be out of the country for more than 30 days. With a request for the prescription. The prescription would then again either be approved or revoked. For now I guess I'll take my half prescription and hope for the best.
